Installation (PWS2-30K-NA)

Before delivery, each inverter is strictly checked and tested. To prevent any damage during transport, the case needs to be opened and checked before installation of energy storage inverter. The following should be checked:

  1. Check whether the items in the packing list are consistent with the real objects.
  2. Check whether the data (such as product model, rated capacity and voltage) on the product nameplate is consistent with purchase contract.
  3. Check whether the ex-factory documents and accessories are complete.
  4. Check whether the energy storage inverter is deformed and falls off paint.

Environment requirements

  • The inverter is designed for indoor use. Direct sunshine, rain and ponding should be avoided.
  • The installation environment is clean. The air should not contain lots of dust.
  • The installation should be conducted in a well-ventilated environment so as to ensure good heat dissipation.
  • Air inlet and outlet should not be sheltered so as to make ventilation duct unblocked.
  • Environment temperature should be -20~45℃ so as to ensure that the inverter has the best operation state. Over-high and over-low temperature will shorten the service life of inverter.

Carrier requirements

  • The installation carrier of inverter should be fireproof.
  • Do NOT install the inverter on the flammable construction materials.
  • Please ensure that the installation surface is firm and meets the load bearing requirements for inverter installation.
  • Do NOT install the inverter onto the wall with poor sound insulation in the residence district so as to prevent any interruption caused by operation noise against the residents in the residence district.

Requirements

Install the inverter vertically or by backward leaning for 15° so as to facilitate its heat dissipation.

Don NOT install the inverter inclined (front slanting, back slanting and side slanting), horizontally and inversely.

Clearance

It is recommended that the inverter should be installed at certain level in height so as to easy operation and follow-up maintenance. PWS2-30K-NA inverter is cooled by fan. The air flow direction is bottom inlet and side outlet. During installation, there should be sufficient space around the inverter so as to ensure enough installation and heat dissipation space.

Inverter transport

Take the case out of the external package and transport it horizontally to the designated installation position.

  1. Two operators put their hands under the two ends of the inverter in the packing case to take out the inverter.
  2. Use a knife to open the vacuum packing bag.
  3. Two operators hold the two ends of the inverter and transport it horizontally to the designated installation position.

Latch panel installation

For inverter installation, please install the latch panel onto the wall.

  1. Use the latch panel in the packing case and confirm the punch position. To regulate the holes and mark them with horizontal ruler.

  2. Use a percussion drill to punch holes and install the expansion bolts. The operation process is shown as follows:
    1. Select a Ф10mm drill and use a percussion drill to punch the holes at the marked positions perpendicular to the wall. The depth of hole punching goes between 85mm~95mm.
    2. Slightly screw up the expansion bolts, vertically put them into the holes and use a rubber hammer to knock them until the expansion pipe fully enters the installation holes.
    3. Anticlockwise screw out bolts, spring washers and flat washers.
  3. Align the latch panel to the holes. Plug the expansion bolt through the holes of the latch panel. Use a torque spanner with a 14mm opening to screw up the expansion bolts. The tightening torque is 25N•m.

CAUTION
To prevent the dust from entering the respiratory tract or the eyes during drilling, operator should wear goggles and dustproof mask.
Use a vacuum cleaner to clear the dust inside and outside the holes, measure the layout of holes. Reposition and drill holes if there are any errors.

CAUTION
After screwing up bolt nuts, spring washers and flat washers, the end face of expansion pipe should be leveled with the concrete wall. Otherwise, the latch panel will be not placed flatly on the wall.

  1. Two operators are required. For each operator, one hand holds the inverter bottom while the other hand holds the top of machine. Ensure that the inverter is vertical.

  2. Carry the inverter to the installation position.
  3. Fix the two hanging slots at the back of the inverter onto the latch of the latch panel.
